Adopting
a progressive approach to the exhibition
of Canadian art, last year the National
Gallery integrated First Nations art chronologically
with the Canadian works on display in
the permanent-collection galleries. This
curatorial achievement allows visitors
to view Canadian art in its broadest context,
and observe links and contrasts between
works traditionally segregated.
